THE VALUE OF A CLEARER PICTURE

Turn fragmented reports
into a focused conversation.

Custodian reports show individual accounts. Your team needs to understand the currency picture across them — and explain what it means.

01 /

Bring the picture together

Review prepared position data from several custodians in one workspace. Keep the mandate, currency and source in view.

One defined scope for your review.
02 /

Make the trade-offs visible

Explore simultaneous currency and gold moves in CHF. See the drivers of the result and compare changes in exposure.

A more concrete discussion of risk.
03 /

Explain the reasoning

Bring source positions, assumptions and decision notes into the same committee pack. Make the next step easier to review.

An analysis others can follow.

CONTEXT BEHIND EVERY NUMBER

Clarity begins
with the inputs.

A precise-looking result is only useful when the team understands its scope. Alpine Risk keeps coverage, assumptions and review exceptions alongside the analysis.

Sources you can inspect

Follow a figure to the position, source reference, date and exposure basis behind it.

Gaps kept visible

Distinguish mapped value from unknown exposure. Missing information never silently becomes zero risk.

Limits defined by your team

Set review thresholds for FX concentration, coverage, scenario loss and the age of source data.

An exportable review

Export a printable committee pack and supporting data, with scenario assumptions and recorded next steps.

DESIGNED AROUND YOUR REVIEW

Different responsibilities.
A shared need for clarity.

For teams looking beyond a single custodian’s statement.

INDEPENDENT ASSET MANAGERS

Prepare a stronger
client conversation.

Review currency sensitivity by mandate. Identify concentrations and positions to clarify before discussing exposure with a client.

A FOCUSED START

Start with your reports.
Build around your review.

A useful pilot starts with a real reporting question. Together, we define the data scope, the review workflow and what a successful outcome should look like.

Let’s discuss your use case oleh.muraviov@rwaavaitar.ch
  1. 01

    Understand your current process

Walk through an anonymised report, your custodian structure and the questions your team needs to answer.

  2. 02

    Agree a defined pilot

Set the CSV format, exposure scope, review thresholds and practical success criteria.

  3. 03

    Review the results together

Reconcile the analysis, test committee materials and agree the controls required for your next stage.

BEFORE WE START

The practical
questions.

How do we bring in our data?

The current workflow uses a prepared CSV containing positions, CHF values, factor exposures, dates and source references. We agree the mapping during the pilot. Live bank feeds and automatic currency conversion are outside the current release.

Which risks does Alpine Risk cover?

The current scope is FX and gold sensitivity expressed in CHF, with simultaneous hypothetical shocks and review limits. It is not a full portfolio valuation model, VaR/ES engine or regulatory capital calculation. We define the relevant scope with each client.

What happens when exposure is unknown?

Unknown exposures remain visible as a data gap and are excluded from scenario calculations. Coverage shows the share of gross position value with mapped exposure. Your team can review and confirm an exposure with a supporting source note.

How do we assess fit for our organisation?

Begin with an anonymised example. The current pilot keeps working data in the browser on the device. Before production use, we agree operational and security requirements, hosting, access controls and independent methodology validation.
